  I love this family restaurant!
  Their service is great and they are friendly.
  I always get their carne asada quesedilla, its great. Menudo is one my family's favorite for many years and even up to date it is one of the best things to get. I would say try enchiladas and the spicy shrimp (a La Diabla), the rice is pretty good. Go check it!

  We came here based on the good reviews. I'm not sure why they got such high ratings. I gave them the one star because the lady who helped us was very pleasant.
  
  The booths were not secured, my husbands kept moving around and while we were waiting for our food, I was looking at the window and saw a nice finger painting made presumably with sour cream as the medium done by a 6 year old. 1 star for the art. We moved to another booth and while walking there, I nearly lost my flip flop because the floor was so sticky.
  
  The chips were nothing special and the salsa was nothing to write about. Our meals came out with a bagged salad mix which was loaded red cabbage. Not impressed, especially for what we paid for.
  
  I hate to admit that I LOVE Taco Bell but I can discern between good Mexican food and fast food, but would've taken TB over this hands down.
  
  Disappointed, will never come back.

  Very very friendly staff.
  New in the area and came in with my mom with absolutely no idea what was good or what to try. The cook let us try the pork and offered to let us try the other type of pork they serve. Was willing to accommodate our needs. She made us a burrito with shrimp and pork on top. It was huge and actually very good. Place was pretty empty when we visited, but staff was overly friendly and accommodating.
  You can tell this location is a family owned, not the nicest dinner spot but you know what they say about the hole in the wall type of places, except this place is rather large. Willing to go back to try different things. overall a good experience.

  This was our first time here and we will totally be back!
  Both the fresh homemade corn tortillas and flour tortillas were made to perfection. I had the shrimp with garlic and rice and beans and I will be thinking about this until the next time I come back to Gilroy. My coworker got the chili Verde and it was unlike any other chili Verde he had had before. It was delicious! Not too spicy and yet full of flavor. The how Mika is made in house and not too sweet. Overall, the experience was very good and we are looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended.

  Best authentic Mexican restaurant in Gilroy! This place is always consistent, great prices and perfect portions! Their salsa is the BEST!!!
